BeachHomes practical guides

Sarasota, Siesta Key & Anna Maria Island Homes

Compare a city home base with different island communities.

Choose the beach-day pattern

Compare a Sarasota mainland home with Siesta Key, Lido Key or Anna Maria Island. These are different locations, not interchangeable neighborhoods. Measure the route to your preferred beach, including bridges and parking, before deciding how often you would use it.

Tour island neighborhoods separately

On Anna Maria Island, compare Anna Maria, Holmes Beach and Bradenton Beach at the street level. On Siesta Key, compare village access with locations farther from the center. Verify the applicable municipality and association before reviewing rental or renovation rules.

Check the building and practical access

Review stairs, elevators, guest parking and storage alongside views and interior finishes. Request maintenance and repair history and a full budget for insurance, association costs and upkeep. For waterfront property, verify access rights and responsibility for shoreline improvements.
